Accessibility Statement

How accessible this website is, what we're still fixing, and how we make our events work for everyone in the room — including the things it helps to tell us in advance.

Last updated: 28 August 2026
This statement applies to 12-degrees.co.uk and to the events we deliver.

1. Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to use this website and to take part fully in the events we run. That means designing for people who use screen readers, navigate by keyboard, need larger text or higher contrast, or have mobility, hearing, visual, cognitive or neurodivergent needs.

We are not claiming to have got everything right. Section 3 sets out what we know isn't working yet.

2. The standard we work to

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA — the internationally recognised benchmark for web accessibility, and the standard UK public sector bodies are required to meet. We are not legally bound by the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations, but we use the same target because it is the clearest measure available.

3. How accessible this website is

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. "Partially conformant" means most of the site meets the standard but some parts do not. The issues we currently know about:

  • Colour contrast on some buttons and badges. White text on our brand coral falls slightly below the 4.5:1 minimum in places. We are correcting this to a marginally deeper shade across the site.
  • Some quoted and highlighted text. A small number of panels use light text on a mid-tone background that does not reach the required contrast. These are being reworked.
  • Embedded third-party content. Maps, videos and social content from other providers may not fully meet the standard. We do not control how these are built, but we will look for accessible alternatives where the experience is poor.
  • Older PDFs and downloads. Some documents published before September 2018 may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need one in an accessible format, ask us and we will provide it.

If you find something not listed here, please tell us — see section 6.

4. Accessibility at our events

This is the part that matters most in our line of work. Every venue and format is different, so we plan access around the people actually attending rather than assuming.

Depending on the event and venue, we can arrange:

  • Step-free access, accessible parking, and accessible toilet facilities.
  • Reserved seating with clear sightlines, and space for wheelchair users and companions.
  • Hearing loops, captioning, or a BSL interpreter.
  • Quiet rooms and low-stimulus spaces, and a clear sense of what to expect before arrival.
  • Materials in large print, plain text or dyslexia-friendly formats, and printed copies of anything shown on screen.
  • Dietary requirements of any kind, including allergies and religious or cultural requirements.
  • Adjusted timings, additional breaks, or an alternative to a physical activity within a team building programme.

Tell us what you need as early as you can and we will build it into the plan rather than improvising on the day. If you are attending an event we are running for someone else, you can contact us directly and we will handle it discreetly with the organiser.

Information about health, disability and dietary needs is handled carefully and shared only with the supplier who needs it. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly how, and how long we keep it.

5. Alternative formats

If you need anything on this website — or any proposal, agenda or event document — in a different format, ask us. That includes large print, plain text, accessible PDF, or simply having someone read it to you over the phone. There is no charge and you do not need to explain why.

6. Telling us about a problem

If you come across something you cannot use, we want to know. It is the fastest way for us to fix it.

Email events@12-degrees.co.uk
Telephone 07977 263988
Post: 12 Degrees Limited, Foxelwood Westwick, Oakington, Cambridge, CB24 3AR

Please tell us the page address and what went wrong. We aim to reply within 5 working days. If a fix will take longer than that, we will tell you what we are doing and when to expect it.

7. If you are not happy with our response

Under the Equality Act 2010, service providers must make reasonable adjustments for disabled people. If you have contacted us and are not satisfied with how we responded, the Equality Advisory and Support Service provides free, independent advice: equalityadvisoryservice.com, telephone 0808 800 0082.

8. Technical information

This website is built on WordPress. We test with keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom to 200%, and automated colour contrast checking, and we review pages against the WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria as we build them. We do not currently commission formal third-party audits; where we say something conforms, that is our own assessment.

9. About this statement

This statement was prepared on 28 August 2026 and is reviewed at least annually, and whenever we make significant changes to the website. It is based on our own testing of the live site rather than an external audit.
