The tinsel can wait. The venue can't.
The September reality check
If your Christmas party isn't booked yet, September is the month to stop thinking about it and get it secured. It feels early, but the best festive venues and the most popular December dates are already being snapped up. Wait until October and you may find yourself choosing between the dates nobody else wanted.
The good news is that you don't need to have the whole evening designed before you book. You need the date, the venue and a realistic headcount range. The rest can follow.
Secure the things that disappear first
Start with your preferred date, but give yourself a little flexibility if you can. Then decide what kind of experience you want: a traditional Christmas dinner, a party with entertainment, a private dining experience, a country-house celebration or something completely different.
Once you know the shape and numbers, the venue shortlist becomes much easier. And the earlier you approach venues, the more chance you have of holding the options while you get internal sign-off.
Don't let the quote become the surprise
Festive packages can look straightforward until you start comparing what is actually included. Check drinks, room hire, entertainment, VAT, service charges, minimum spends, timings and cancellation terms before you compare one package with another.
This is where having someone who does it regularly saves time. We can shortlist the right festive options, sense-check the quotes and negotiate where there is room to move, without adding a fee to you.
Make December someone else's problem
The best Christmas party is the one people enjoy talking about afterwards. It shouldn't be the one the EA spends October and November chasing.
If the booking still isn't done, don't panic. Get the venue search moving now and give yourself some breathing space.
Tell us your numbers, preferred dates and location and we'll shortlist your Christmas party options while there's still choice.
