The right venue can make or break an event.
At 12 Degrees we believe the right venue can make or break an event. That's why our venue finding service is thorough, tailored, and free to you — we're paid by the venue. After getting to know your brief and budget, we identify spaces that complement your goals — whether you need a city-centre conference hub, a rural escape, a unique pop-up space, or a heritage setting for something extra special.
With access to a vast network of venues across the UK and overseas, we handle everything from initial recommendations to site visits, negotiations and technical checks. We also assess flow, accessibility, ambience and branding opportunities to make sure the venue doesn't just work — it makes an impact.
How we're paid
Venue finding usually costs you nothing. We're paid commission by the venue, and that commission is built into the rate you're quoted — you pay the same whether you book through us or approach the venue directly. We ask every venue we work with for rate parity, so there is never a cheaper price sitting behind us.
Where commission isn't available, we tell you at the outset. Some venues don't pay it. Some events need more of our time than a commission covers — being on site for three days is not the same job as sending you a shortlist. In those cases we quote a project management fee, agreed before we start. You will always know which basis we're working on from the first conversation.
That matters more than it sounds. It's what allows us to put a non-commissionable venue in front of you when it's genuinely the best fit. If we only ever recommended venues that paid us, you would be right to wonder why the same names kept coming up. The fee removes the question.
What you will never see from us is commission added on top of a price you have already been quoted.
Ask us what we earn and we'll tell you. Commission rates vary by venue and by group — some pay nothing, others pay a rate we've negotiated over years of business. Whatever the figure is on your booking, you can have it. We'd rather you knew than wondered.
If you'd rather book direct
That's your call, and sometimes it's the right one. But if we've sourced a venue for you, negotiated the rate and put the proposal together, the commission is how that work gets paid for — so if you contract with that venue directly, we'll ask you to settle the equivalent instead. It's in our terms, and it's the only part of this that ever surprises anyone, so we'd rather say it here than leave it in the small print.

We've been sourcing and managing venues across the UK since 2006. We know which spaces perform under pressure and which disappoint — and that knowledge only comes from two decades of actually delivering events, not browsing a directory.
We hold no preferred supplier agreements with venues. Our recommendations are always genuinely impartial and always in your interest.

How our venue finding service works
Finding the right venue isn't just about ticking boxes — it's about understanding what you're trying to achieve and applying the experience and relationships to make it happen. Here's how we do it.
We start with a conversation. We'll ask about your event type, delegate numbers, date flexibility, budget, and — crucially — the feeling you want people to walk away with. The brief shapes everything that follows.
Drawing on nearly two decades of industry relationships, we build a considered longlist. We apply real knowledge of how spaces perform — catering, AV, staffing, and the details that matter on the day.
We filter down to a focused shortlist with clear rationale — capacity, configuration, accessibility, pricing, and fit with your brand or audience. You get a clear, comparable picture without wading through endless brochures.
Where needed, we conduct or accompany you on site visits. We know what to look for — sightlines, acoustics, load-in access, flow, and those small details that make a big difference on the day.
We negotiate on your behalf — rates, minimum spends, cancellation terms, exclusivity, and added value. Our relationships mean we can often secure terms that wouldn't be available to a direct enquiry.
Once confirmed, we can hand over to your team or continue as your full event management partner. Either way, the groundwork is done properly from the start.
Why work with us
Partnering with us means more than just hiring an event organiser. It means having a dedicated, experienced team that treats your event as if it were their own. We blend creativity, strategic thinking and operational precision to deliver results.
Whether that's deepening client relationships, motivating teams, or helping you raise vital funds — from the first ideas to the final thank-yous, we're with you every step of the way to ensure everything runs smoothly and exceeds expectations. Whatever your vision, we're here to help you bring it to life.

Yes — most activities work brilliantly as part of a wider day or multi-day event. We regularly bolt team building onto conferences, corporate away days, and hospitality events. Talk to us about the bigger picture and we'll plan the whole programme.
4–6 weeks is comfortable for most activities. Larger bespoke events (200+ delegates with venue, catering and accommodation) work best with 3–6 months lead time. Christmas dates and summer Fridays book early — get in touch sooner if you have a specific date in mind.
