A Charity Race Day connects corporate businesses with charity partners to raise vital funds. One day, one venue, real money.
The day
A day at the races doesn’t need a programme — it has one built in. Seven races across the afternoon, hospitality before and between, the rail and the parade ring for those who want to be closer to the action.
Your team and your sponsors arrive into a ready-made spectacle. We layer the fundraising programme on top, calibrated to the rhythm of the day so giving feels seamless, never an interruption.
What is it
At 12 Degrees Events Management, we specialise in delivering memorable fundraising experiences that connect corporate businesses with charity partners to raise vital funds. A Charity Race Day is one of the most effective ways to combine entertainment, fundraising and corporate social responsibility in a single, professionally delivered event.
Each Charity Race Day package includes full race naming rights, sponsorship opportunities, tailored hospitality and brand exposure across the venue and media. Businesses engage with clients, reward teams and raise essential funds for charity — all in one day.
Why this matters
CSR and employee engagement are more important than ever. Yet charities are facing increasing financial constraints and volunteer shortages. This is where your organisation can step in.
20%
of charities are rationing their services due to resource constraints
61%
of charities report difficulty recruiting volunteers
14%

Our partnership with your chosen charity provides a unique solution — empowering your employees to contribute meaningfully while fostering a strong, purpose-driven company culture.
Why host a race day
A ready-made format with a highly experienced team delivering every element.
Perfectly integrates your company’s Corporate Social Responsibility objectives.
Naming rights, press coverage, race cards and on-site branding maximise visibility.
A relaxed setting for businesses to build stronger relationships with clients and stakeholders.
From race sponsorships to hospitality packages, the structure ensures tangible financial benefit for your chosen charity.
What’s involved
Each Charity Race Day includes a full seven-race card with overall naming rights for the charity. Each individual race can then be sold to corporate sponsors at a small markup — covering costs and raising additional funds for the cause.
Example race card:
1:30pm — The [Company Name] Handicap Stakes
2:00pm — The [Sponsor] Supporting [Charity] Stakes
2:30pm — The [Corporate Sponsor] Fillies’ Handicap Stakes
…and so on, across all seven races.
Each sponsorship package offers unique opportunities — from naming rights and hospitality tickets to presenting winners’ trophies and brand placement across screens, race cards and press coverage.
Hospitality packages
Corporate partners and their guests enjoy the day from private suites or restaurants with panoramic racecourse views.
Suites accommodate up to 400 guests — providing the perfect balance of luxury, networking and entertainment.
The venues
Cheltenham, Newmarket, Royal Ascot, Goodwood, York, Aintree, Sandown, Kempton, Doncaster, Epsom. Premium UK racecourses where the spectacle does half the work.
We pair venue to ambition — the Cheltenham Festival for an evergreen fundraising flagship, Royal Ascot for premium client hospitality, regional courses for sponsor accessibility and budget-conscious days.

Practical answers about how a Charity Race Day runs. For broader 12 Degrees questions, see the FAQs in the footer below.
Is this for charities or corporates?
Both. Charities buy the race day package from us and then sell sponsored races to corporate partners — the corporates get naming rights, hospitality and brand exposure; the charity gets the funds raised. We help both sides find each other.
How far ahead should we book?
6-9 months for the best venues and meeting dates. Last-minute (3-4 months) is sometimes possible at smaller racecourses. We’ll be honest about availability when you brief us.
How does the race sponsorship model work?
The full seven-race card is named after the charity. Six of those races are then sold to corporate sponsors at £750-£1,000 + VAT each. Sponsors get named race, hospitality, brand visibility. The charity covers event costs and retains the surplus.
What’s included in the hospitality?
Reserved parking, admission, arrival refreshments, three-course dining, private bar and balcony access, race cards and dedicated hosts. Private suites accommodate up to 400 guests.
Can we add more fundraising on the day?
Yes — and most clients do. Silent auctions over lunch, Fund-a-Need moments between key races, sweepstakes per race, bucket collections, charity stalls. Each adds to the totals — we build them into the run-of-show.
Which UK racecourses do you work with?
Every major UK racecourse — Newmarket, Ascot, Cheltenham, York, Goodwood, Aintree, Sandown, Kempton, Doncaster, Epsom. Venue choice depends on timing, region and ambition. We’ll suggest the best match.
Where racing meets fundraising
A properly delivered Charity Race Day is one of the few corporate events that more than recoups its cost — every pound of hospitality returns multiple in funds raised for the cause.
