Our own giving · B1G1: Business for Good

We don't just run giving events — we give ourselves

As a proud member of B1G1: Business for Good, 12 Degrees makes a real-world impact with every event we manage. In May 2026 — our 20th anniversary — we made 20 UK impacts in honour of our clients and community, and committed to giving a Buddy Bag to a child in crisis for every year .

When you work with us on your fundraising event, you're working with a team that genuinely believes in the power of giving — not just on your behalf, but on ours too.

Case study

Raising £48,000 in a day

£48,000

raised for Macmillan Cancer Support

Target: £30,000

This event involved over a year of meticulous planning and months of physical preparation — designed to test resilience, foster teamwork, and inspire giving.

Despite difficult terrain and unpredictable weather, the team exceeded their fundraising target of £30,000, raising an incredible £48,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

This contribution fully funded the Macmillan Support Line for a week, providing vital assistance to over 2,000 individuals seeking information and support.

Your fundraising plan

How to raise the funds for your event

We plan, manage and deliver the event — and we're brilliant at it. The fundraising itself is your superpower. Here are the seven tactics our most successful clients use to maximise their event take. Treat this as your playbook.

Corporate sponsorship

Approach local businesses and industry partners with a clear sponsorship package — logo placement, naming rights, VIP tickets, social coverage. Keep it simple and make the value obvious.

Ticket pricing & early bird offers

Don't underprice your event. Use early bird discounts to drive momentum and a tiered structure (standard / VIP / table) to increase average spend.

Matched giving

Ask a headline donor or corporate partner to match all funds raised up to a set amount. Matched giving dramatically increases individual donations — nobody wants their gift to count for less.

Peer-to-peer fundraising

Give every participant their own JustGiving or Enthuse page and a personal target. Teams who fundraise independently and compete against each other consistently raise the most.

On-the-night fundraising

Live or silent auctions, a raffle, a "Fund a Need" moment, sweepstakes — planned well in advance and run properly, these can double your event take. We can build these into your event format.

Social media & story-led fundraising

People give to people, not organisations. A short honest video from a beneficiary or participant — posted in the weeks before your event — is worth more than any press release.

Grant funding

If you're a registered charity or CIC, explore grants from local councils, community foundations, the National Lottery Community Fund, or cause-specific trusts. Start 6–12 months out.

We'll make your event brilliant. You bring the fundraising strategy.

Our job is to design and deliver an event your participants will remember — and that creates the conditions for as much fundraising as possible. Tell us what you're raising money for, and we'll build the event around it.

20 years of running events that help our clients raise money for the causes they care about

The fundraising itself belongs to you — your cause, your supporters, your story. Our job is the event around it: the planning, the logistics, the run-of-show on the day. For two decades we've worked with charities, corporates and community organisations across the UK, delivering the kind of events that give people every reason to give, and to give generously.

From charity galas and sponsored challenges to CSR days and community fundraisers, every event we manage is built around your values, your goals and your people. We work closely with you from the first conversation to the final debrief — so nothing is left to chance and every pound raised goes further.

Frequently asked questions

We manage a wide range of fundraising and charity events, including:

  • Charity galas and black-tie dinners
  • Sponsored walking and multi-activity challenges
  • Dragon boat races and rowing regattas
  • CSR team-building events with a giving element
  • Corporate fundraising days and charity auctions
  • Bespoke events built around your cause and audience

If you have something different in mind, get in touch — we're experienced at building events from scratch around a fundraising brief.

Yes — we work with both. Whether you're a registered charity running your own annual fundraiser, a corporate organising a CSR event in support of a cause, or a community organisation raising money for a local project, we can help.

We're equally comfortable working with charity event committees and with corporate social responsibility teams — the planning process is the same, and our goal is always the same: a brilliant event that raises as much as possible.

Absolutely — this is one of the most valuable conversations we have early on. Different event formats raise money in very different ways, and the right format depends on your audience, your cause, your timeline and your target.

A discovery meeting with us will help you think through what's realistic, what's worked for similar organisations, and what format will give you the best return for your investment in the event.

We plan, manage and deliver the event — that's our specialism and we're brilliant at it. The fundraising strategy is yours to lead, but we'll help you think through what works best within your event format.

We can advise on building in on-the-night fundraising elements — auctions, Fund a Need moments, sweepstakes, raffle management — and structure your event timeline to maximise giving opportunities. The fundraising itself, including platforms like JustGiving or Enthuse, donor outreach and sponsorship conversations, will be led by you.

For most fundraising events, we recommend coming to us at least six months before your intended event date — and ideally nine to twelve months for larger or more complex events. This gives enough time to secure the right venue, build the programme, and allow your team adequate time to fundraise.

That said, we understand that timelines don't always cooperate. If you're working to a shorter deadline, get in touch and we'll tell you honestly what's achievable.

We run events across the UK, with particular strength in the East of England — Cambridge, Peterborough and Norwich — as well as London and across the Midlands and beyond.

Our Pace for Purpose charity walks take place across three East Anglian locations. Dragon boat events and rowing regattas run in Cambridge, London and Peterborough. For bespoke events, we'll work with you to find the right venue wherever your audience is based.

Every event is different, so we don't publish fixed prices. Our fees depend on the scale and complexity of the event, the level of involvement required from our team, and whether you need us end-to-end or for specific elements only.

What we will always do is be transparent about costs from the outset, so you can plan your budget with confidence. Book a discovery meeting and we'll give you a clear picture of what's involved.
