Power up your events: strategies to finish the year strong

By Jen Townsend – Director, 12 Degrees Ltd

We’re now officially in the second half of the year and if you work in business development, brand growth or employee engagement, you know that H2 can be make or break. The months ahead are where momentum is either gained or lost. And in today’s corporate events landscape, the smartest companies are doubling down on two things: strategic gatherings and meaningful impact.

So, what should you be doing now to finish the year strong?

1. Prioritise purposeful events

Gone are the days of “event for event’s sake.” Corporate gatherings need clear purpose, whether that’s deepening internal culture, driving new connections or elevating your thought leadership.

2. Invest in hybrid formats

While in-person is back, accessibility matters. Hybrid formats remain crucial for widening reach and showing inclusivity – especially for global businesses.

3. Bring your values to life

Clients and employees alike want brands that walk their talk. This is why charity challenge events are on the rise. They show what your company stands for, not just what it sells!

Corporate sponsors: This is your moment. At 12 Degrees, we’re planning a calendar of 2026 charity challenge events, and we’re looking for corporate partners who want to align their name with meaningful change. These events provide brand exposure, team-building opportunities and CSR value. Drop me an email or LinkedIn message for more details!

4. Plan early for year-end celebrations and kick-offs

The best Q4 events – whether it’s festive gatherings, incentive travel or 2026 strategy rollouts are already underway. Don’t wait until October to start thinking about December!

5. Focus on data-led decisions

Use your H1 results to shape your H2 strategy. Where did your events perform well? What themes resonated? Make sure you’re building forward, not just repeating.

We believe events can drive commercial results and social good. They’re not just touchpoints – they’re powerful brand moments. If you’re planning your final push for the year or want to explore partnership opportunities for upcoming charity events, let’s talk. And I’d love to hear: what’s on your radar for the next six months?
