Bake-off Competition
4 hours | £180 pp + VAT | Up to 50 attendees (Min Numbers apply)
This fun, team-based 4-hour bake-off challenges participants to prepare scones, profiteroles, and cupcakes while working together and showcasing their baking skills. Guests are welcomed with a glass of fizz and nibbles before the hands-on session, and our chefs judge creations in a lighthearted competition.
The kitchen is styled like a restaurant, and once baking is complete, treats are served with celebratory drinks. Prizes are awarded, and any leftover goodies can be taken home as a tasty reminder of the event.
Cook for the Homeless

In this rewarding CSR experience, teams prepare double portions of a pre-selected menu—half for the group to enjoy, and half donated to a local London charity. Guided by a professional chef in a private kitchen, participants work together wearing chef hats and aprons, using provided ingredients and equipment.
Unlimited soft drinks are included, plus two beers or half a bottle of wine per participant. After cooking, the team enjoys their meal together, with prizes for the winning team. This experience combines teamwork, fun, and a meaningful contribution to the community.
Sushi Masterclass
3 hours | £115–£155 pp + VAT (Min Numbers apply)
In this relaxed, hands-on class, teams learn to make sushi and Japanese gyoza dumplings under the guidance of expert tutors. Participants master sushi folds, perfect rice, and fold gyoza while enjoying a fun, collaborative environment.
Held in a private kitchen with all ingredients and equipment provided, guests wear chef hats and aprons, with unlimited soft drinks and two beers or half a bottle of wine per person. After cooking, the team enjoys their creations together, with prizes for the winning team and accommodations for all dietary preferences.
Three Course Meal
3 hours | £150 pp + VAT | Up to 50 attendees
In this interactive cookery experience, teams collaborate to prepare a bespoke three-course meal under the guidance of expert chefs. Guests are welcomed with wine and nibbles before cooking, and afterwards, everyone enjoys the meal together, served informally by our team.

Cookery Events · FAQs
Quick answers to the things teams ask before booking. For broader 12 Degrees questions, see the FAQs in the footer below.
How many people can attend a cookery team-building event?
Up to 50 attendees, with minimum-number requirements depending on the format. Bake-off and Three Course Meal both run up to 50; Cook for the Homeless and Sushi Masterclass work best at 10–30 for a more intimate session.
Where do the cookery events take place?
Professional private kitchens in central London — styled like working restaurants with all ingredients, equipment, chef hats and aprons provided. We can arrange comparable venues elsewhere in the UK through our supplier network.
What's included in the price?
Venue hire, chef tuition, all ingredients and equipment, chef hats and aprons, and the meal you cook together. Drinks vary by format — welcome fizz on Bake-off and Three Course Meal; unlimited softs plus beer/wine on Cook for the Homeless and Sushi. VAT extra.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements?
Yes — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, halal, kosher and allergy-specific diets all accommodated. Sushi Masterclass and Three Course Meal are particularly flexible. Tell us your team's requirements at booking.
Do we need any cooking experience?
None at all. Our chefs guide the session step by step and pitch the techniques to your group's experience level. Beginners welcome — we've delivered events for everyone from finance teams to senior leadership.
How long does a cookery event last?
Three to four hours from welcome drinks to dessert. Sushi Masterclass and Three Course Meal run for around 3 hours, Cook for the Homeless for 3.5 hours, Bake-off Competition for 4 hours.
Does the Cook for the Homeless food really get donated?
Yes — every Cook for the Homeless event cooks double portions. Half the food goes home with your team, half is delivered to a local London homelessness charity. We confirm the partner before booking and can provide delivery confirmation for your CSR reporting.
Can we customise the format or add branding?
Yes — we tailor around team size, budget, dietary mix and objectives. Common additions: branded aprons and hats, branded awards, custom menus tied to a wider conference theme, and integration with a charity partner of your choice.
