For corporate teams

Get your team outdoors. Raise serious money. Finish together.

We've been delivering corporate events for twenty years, and walking challenges sit somewhere unusual on the agenda — physical without being elite, charitable without being earnest, and they build the kind of camaraderie a conference room can't manufacture.

Choose a city or a National Park, pick a distance, and we handle the route, the marshals, the support vehicle and the unified finish. People walk together, talk together, and finish together. That's the formula.

  • Fully-managed, end-to-end — your team just walks
  • City routes or National Park trails — UK-wide
  • Mixed-ability friendly — three distances, one finish line
  • Branded, badged and built around your charity

Why corporate walks work

Five reasons mixed-ability teams love them.

01

Unifies the team

Mixed pace, mixed ability, same finish line. Cross-functional teams bond in ways conference rooms can't manufacture.

02

Wellbeing built in

Fresh air, daylight, hours of low-intensity exercise. Walking supports workplace wellbeing as a measurable outcome.

03

Real CSR impact

Every step raises money for a cause your team cares about. Our B1G1 partnership converts effort into measurable IMPACTS.

04

Natural networking

Walking unlocks the unhurried conversation desks and video calls can't. Junior with senior, sales with finance — silos thin.

05

A shared story

A team that's walked 21km together has a reference point for months. Recall is high. Anecdotes are plenty.

Choose your distance

Mixed-ability teams. One finish line.

Three distance options means the slowest walker isn't left behind and the fittest aren't left waiting. Everyone finishes at the same celebration point.

10km

1 – 2 hours

A morning walk. Suits any fitness level. Often used as the team's "everyone in" option.

Half Marathon

3 – 4 hours

The most popular choice. Real challenge but achievable for anyone willing to train a bit beforehand.

Full Marathon

8 – 9.5 hours

A genuine endurance test. For teams that want a serious challenge and the story to go with it.

Why teams trust 12 Degrees

Twenty years of corporate events, started on the water.

12 Degrees has been planning and delivering corporate events since 2006 — for clients spanning property, finance, pharmaceuticals and the charity sector, including J.P. Morgan, Compare the Market, Land Securities, LV=, Markerstudy Group and Sweaty Betty. ⭐ Recommended 12 Degrees · May 2025

I've worked with Jen and 12 Degrees going on three years now and I cannot fault Jen's dedication, commitment and attention to detail. Over the years, Jen has partnered with me at Just Group to perfectly execute three amazing company charity events — two marathon walks in London and Belfast, and a dragon boat race in Wimbledon that was so successful the company is repeating it this year.

⭐ Recommended 12 Degrees · Oct 2025

We've partnered with 12 Degrees for several years to deliver our annual charity challenge event — and I genuinely wouldn't trust anyone else to support us. Jen is professional, passionate, and thrives on a challenge. From logistics and creative input to on-the-day coordination, Jen and the team go above and beyond every single time. Our most recent event saw 80 colleagues take on the Jurassic Coast in aid of Cancer Research UK. A huge success.

Brought together on the route. Photographed at the finish.

Behind every walk is a team that started the morning as colleagues and finished it as something a bit more. We've delivered corporate walks for groups of all sizes — Cancer Research UK, company foundations, local charities — across cities and National Parks UK-wide.

Every walk is custom-built. You bring the team and the cause; we bring twenty years of doing this properly. The finish-line photo always tells the same story.

How far in advance to book

Corporate walking challenges need real lead time.

Plan on 6 months minimum, 9-12 months ideal. A serious walk takes months to set up, not weeks — particularly if you're aiming for a popular route, peak season, or want to maximise fundraising. Marathon and half-marathon distances need time for participant training, sponsor outreach, supplier bookings, and route approvals (particularly in National Parks where landowner permissions are involved). Branded merchandise, medals and post-event reporting all add to the runway.

Looking for a community walk?

Pace for Purpose — community walks in development.

We're building Pace for Purpose — a community charity walk series bringing multiple corporate teams together in East Anglian cities (Cambridge, Peterborough, Norwich). Local charities, shared finish line, cross-business networking.

The community programme is at an early stage and dates are confirmed once we have enough registered interest in each city. If a community-format walk would suit your team or your organisation would like to sponsor one as a brand visibility play, get in touch and we'll share the current shape of the programme.

Frequently asked questions

Corporate Walking Challenges · FAQs

Training

What if our team has mixed fitness levels?

The three-distance format is exactly for this — 10km for any fitness level, Half Marathon for the willing-to-train, Full Marathon for the genuinely keen. Everyone finishes at the same celebration point regardless of distance. Our pre-event training plan helps less-active participants build up safely.

Charity

Can we choose our own charity?

Yes — entirely your choice. Bespoke walks can support any registered UK charity or your company foundation. If you already have a charity partner, we'll work with them directly.

Weather

What happens if the weather is bad?

Walks run rain or shine in normal conditions. For extreme weather (severe winds, lightning, dangerous heat), our risk assessment triggers a contingency plan — shorter route, indoor alternative, or rescheduled date. National Park routes are most weather-sensitive; we plan accordingly.

Accessibility

Can team members with mobility issues take part?

Yes — flag early and we'll design accordingly. The 10km route can be adapted for reduced mobility, and our support vehicle is available throughout the day for anyone who needs to step out. Everyone is welcome at the finish line regardless of distance walked.

Group size

What group sizes work?

Bespoke corporate walks work best with 50+ participants to justify the dedicated infrastructure. We've delivered up to 400+ on single walks. Smaller groups can sometimes join a community Pace for Purpose event where one is running locally.

Pricing

How is it priced?

Bespoke — driven by location, distance, group size, branded merchandise, support infrastructure and route complexity. Transparent fee breakdown with agency fees separated from pass-through costs (supplier, venue, transport, materials).
